Love the vibrancy and glow, they look like buds or berries.
VZ: Thanks Nig. At first I was confused as much as you are. They do look like berries, don't they?
Yes, you are right, and the coloured fruits of this plant (name?) are glowing brighter and brighter after I have clicked on your link- whatever this inner light" may be- love in many, different ways, enthousiasm, confidence, optimism... it radiates and draws circles, spreads out.., but we need the lights from outside, too, in which way ever, the sun, the clouds, the friendly human beings, the lovely words, the new experiences, the poems, the books, the music, the paintings, a photo like tis one and so on...- inner and outer light have to come together and influence each other - most beautiful when they come together silenty, half-conscious, "auf leisen Sohlen"... - a wonderful contemplation- photo!
VZ: I don't know the name of the plant, Philine. I wish I wrote it down. Natalya and I were wandering around the Botanical Garden in Washington D.C. (http://www.usbg.gov/index.cfm), when I saw this plant in the tropical pavilion. I might sent them the picture and I ask about the plant.
I like your thought about the symbiosis of inner and outer lights. A silent harmony of lights. I like that.
Could be VZ has discovered a cure for mankind's problem of how to obtain "green" fuel...suck the energy out of these little generators right into the power grid, or grow a few on the roof of the car...
Provokes a nice warm feeling like the point of E.T.'s finger.
VZ: Aha, "provokes a nice warm feeling..." and that is exactly what you feel around the people with the inner light, don't you think, Ray?
Vibrant and yet ghostly. Nicely darkened around the edges to home in on the subject. Liked this a lot.
VZ: Thanks Jamoula. It was a shocker to bump onto this about to bloom plant.
It almost looks as if they will burst into a puff of glittering particles if you touch them. It is so unreal. Beautiful.
VZ: They might as well could do it, Kelly, if I tried to touch them, and my vacation would ended with an allergic crisis.
The inner light....Viktor...sometimes it takes a lot of strength to keep the inner light glimmering...if we only keep our eyes open, enjoy the environment, enjoy the touch of a friend, enjoy the words we share with a friend, try to see the positive side of life, everybody has it's 'down moments', I think it is important that the ones we live with are of big influence of our glimmering light too...in life it is about giving and receiving...and sometimes we give more than we receive, but we are responsible for our own happiness too....
Have a great weekend, I do love you picture, I have not the faintest idea what kind of plant it is...Ray might be right here...I hope he could find a phone, to phone home.....
VZ: Well, for some it takes a lot of effort to keep the inner light on, for others it is just natural.
I have no idea what the name of the plant is either, Astrid. I'll try to find out next time I'm in Washington D.C.
Without the inner light, Viktor, we might as well be dead and buried! But I must say that the light from others often is the fuel I need for my own! So, thank you.
VZ: The inter-pollination of the inner lights is a very appealing idea, Ginnie.
I assumed they must be berries, but whatever they are they make an appealing picture. I like the idea of keeping the inner light glowing...it gets harder as the years pass!
VZ: I wonder why is it harder to keep the inner light glowing as the years pass, Bill. Have any ideas?
I can almost imagine the petals opening up, all of a sudden, and going, "Pop".
VZ: I didn't stay that long in the Botanical Garden to witness the opening act, Ellie, but I'd assume you're right, you do expect for something extraordinary to happen here.
Crikey Vik - this really is vibrant. I don't know what the subject matter is (it hardly matters) but the end result is very interesting
VZ: Hope your screen survived the assault of this bold vibrancy, Chris. If not, see the disclamer on my About page.
beautiful colors
lol at ray's comment
VZ: Thanks doc.
Ray's mind works in misterious ways.
..I only wished my inner light had a firefly quality, so it can glow even in the darkest nights... (I'm working on it
As for your picture...I think you've found a chrysalis of colour...
VZ: When you acquire the inner light of a firefly quality, you will find out that it can only glow while you fly. Just think about it.
"A chrysalis of color"... what a wonderful metaphor you came up with, Line.
Close inspection reveals -
hidden details, mysterious wonders, imperfections, yet more questions, tiny worlds, age and youth, the stress of growth, pretentious rambling. Perm any 3 from 8. Nice colours Viktor.
VZ: To the Chinese impersonator of inspector Clouseau:
I'll go with these three: 1. Imperfect 2. Questionable 3. Ramblingly pretentious.
Awesome image!
VZ: I can hardly argue with that.
what delicious colors Viktor, a fantastic image to come upon while visiting again
VZ: Welcome back, Julie. Colorful greetings to you.
