Another macro shooter i see. Nice colours
vz-nostalgia: Do you mean there are so many macro shooters out there, and here's another one, Stan? smile
awwwwwww.......
vz-nostalgia: Is it awwwwwwww of an aproval, or is it awwwwwwww of a disappointment, Ms. Gail? What do you people there in Sandwich mean by that: awwwwwwsome, or awwwwwful? smile
Gorgeous shot! Really love all the green.... WOW
vz-nostalgia: Keep in touch, Ms. Susan.
Lovely shot with the mellow feel of 'the nap'.
vz-nostalgia: If only the banana trees grow on the Prince Edward Island and the Tiger Swallowtail butterflies roam the local gardens... smile

"Sometime soon I will take a long sleep and, when I awake I will have 'morphed into a King...then, I might just take a long flight down to Mexico to meet with friends and vacation in the sun."

Lovely, restful image, VZ, and ecourages me to dream the dream of the great migrating butterfly...the Monarch.
vz-nostalgia: The Dream Called Metamorphosis. That's very poetic, Ray, a much better title that I came up with.
Cute! And a good composition. I really like the soft, white background with the bit of green in the left corner.
vz-nostalgia: I had plenty of time to experiment with DoF, while the beauty was asleep. smile

Lovely shot. Macros are my favourites.
vz-nostalgia: Is that so? Then, you're on a gold mine, Aussie. Stop by often to dig for macro gems. smile

Very nice colours shooter.
vz-nostalgia: Let's be thankful to nature for providing us with such a palette of colors, Ms. E.
Great macro, splendid close-up. Colours are amazing and the angle is perfect.
vz-nostalgia: You run out of superlatives, Ms. Florence! I guess I need to send you a Webster dictionary for your future comments. smile

Lovely close-up! It looks great and it tells a story. Good work!
vz-nostalgia: What story does it tell you, Martin? I'd like to hear it. Ray has already shared his dream, now it's your turn. smile

HA! Sometimes coming in late on the comments is a reward in and of itself! smile

It looks like a Yellow Jacket in the making (surely you know the Georgia Tech and Georgia schools by now, VZ?).
vz-nostalgia: Glad you like the fun we have here on Nostalgia. You're welcome to join us any time, Ms. Ginnie.
saw this one in the morning, when i was in a rush...was very taken by it and still am...lovely green...
vz-nostalgia: That's a long time to be taken by a picture, PhotoSam. smile
love the shot. especially the way it's curled. says so much.
vz-nostalgia: Hey Terence. I was waiting for somebody to notice the play of curves I've been after in this shot. You're the first one who noticed! smile

Thank you for your nice comment on my blog!

Wonderful picture! Well done!

My best regards!
vz-nostalgia: I has been visiting your website on and off for about two years now, Sonya. Sorry it took that long to leave a first comment. I really like the way you present a flow of your family life in the countryside of Brazil. I'll be sharing my thoughts more often. I promise.

Thank you so much VZ for your kind words! I am very grateful for it!
Your blog is just great! I will come back soon to see more!
Have a nice week ahead!
Oh, I had a photo of one of those (August 14). Not quite as comfortable-looking as this one, though.
vz-nostalgia: I liked that photo, Karen. Quite philosophical too smile
VZ, I love the way you have captured the caterpillar (pose and colurs etc), I just can't make my mind up whether the lighter area grabs the viewers attention a bit too much, i.e. may be a crop would be worth considering? What do you think?
vz-nostalgia: Nigel, I find central compositions a bit boring. So every time I have a chance, I try to compose an assymetrical image. I can hardly see the lighter area grabbing the attention, it works more as a background for a main dish.
Regards,
Z

Great shot - love the colours and the quirky title. Maybe the caterpillar is just shy!
Ingrid
vz-nostalgia: Oh no, Ingrid. I would not call them shy. They eliminated our fennel plant in two days. That's pretty damn bold! smile
