Zyryality: Breakfast With An Absent Lover

the empty eyes of birds with broken wings
dead memories of flights are served for

He left a note...
"I'll call you"
But he doesn't have my number!

Past tense of Love-er
Is Love-ed!

Sob...sniffle...
vz-nostalgia: Here is a handkerchief, Ray. smile

Take a deep breath and remember what a good poet once said: "... this may be the last pain she causes me,
and this may be the last poem I write for her."

Past tense always get balanced, eventually, with a future one. smile
In the howling silence of a dark night
a blind dove with shredded wings
spirals down an empty sky,
shadowless and alone.
Reflected in those eyes is the image of his lover
as she lingers
upon all things broken.
She mends them, one by one,
a kiss for all that was
and a promise for what can be.
"It is for you, dearest", she whispers to no one,
that I wait..."
vz-nostalgia: oh... What a hauntingly sad and beautiful poem my image evoked in your mind, Ms. Suzanne. Each time I read it, my heart aches for that dove, who was betrayed so mercilessly. I hope she will succeed in healing, before his body hits the ground and it's too late to mend "all things broken".
You are an emotionally beautiful soul, Ms. Suzanne.

The flip-flop of catfish in an empty lake
ground hornbill parents tearing their oldest
rank and overpowering the smell of mold
forlorn his sack hangs in the cold

alone
alone
at dinner time too.
vz-nostalgia: I wish I knew what you are talking about here, Louis. smile Sometimes you go way above my head. smile

Ohh I absolutely LOVE this one! It's so gothic with the scratches...! Why is the cutlery the wrong way around though? I thought the
breakfast was for me, although it does make it more ghostly... WHO is
having breakfast with me!!! Love it love it love it!!!! smilesmile

Eva: It's so gothic with the scratches...
VZ: I had no idea that scratches is a new definition for goth. smile

Eva: Why is the cutlery the wrong way around though?
VZ: At least one has noticed, and I'm pleased. smile Every single item in this photograph has its meaning, Ms. Eva. It's up to you to dig it out. smile

Eva: breakfast was for me...
VZ: Are you someone's Absent Lover, Ms. Eva? smile I guess we all are, at some point in our life. Perhaps, without even knowing it.

....You hear
sounds of flight behind you
"look into the mirror" she says
You see her
sat opposite you
playing with the plate in front of her
before it was left to wither and die
Smiling her sweet smile
You reach out to touch her soft pale cheek
the mirror shatters,like broken wings
She has gone
taken flight back into the dead memories
Now alone and silent
you look down
to see the only glint of light
on the white feather...
vz-nostalgia: :

Now alone and silent
you look down
to see the only glint of light
on the white feather
which fades away
with every passing day
until it dies...
Great imagination at play here, superbly lit and shot!
vz-nostalgia: That's all that's left in me for now, Fred, my imagination.
Wow, cool shot
vz-nostalgia: my pleasure, Ms.Patricia
very uplifting, Viktor! smile Pinted with light?
vz-nostalgia: I print with light on the blank canvas of your mind, Thomas. smile
Thank you for your comment. Can you please direct me to this Boat v-z. After reading some of the lovely comments regarding this, I agree wonderful image I feel rather in barest to comment but I have an observation regarding your festive plate and that is why did you display your image upside down with the knife cutting edge facing away from the plate. Is this an American way to lay up a table?

Derek: After reading some of the lovely comments regarding this, I agree wonderful image...
VZ: Don't let opinions of others influence your mind, Derek. Always go with the flow of your own feelings. smile

Derek: Is this an American way to lay up a table?
VZ: No, Derek. This is MY way to convey MY thoughts. smile
The canvas of my mind is hugely tainted, Viktor ... I meant to write 'painted', as in long exposure and a flash light
vz-nostalgia: Even better, Thomas. Then I PAINT with light on the canvas of your mind. Over the taint. smile
love this alot
vz-nostalgia: what exactly do you like here, Ms. Luba? Tell me, what captivates your mind?
