Great image Vik: her markings say DO NOT EVEN THINK OF EATING ME!
vz-nostalgia: ...and I thought just opposite: "Eat me, I'm so beautiful." smile
... mesmerizing ...
vz-nostalgia: Still hypnotized, Ms. Jacquelyn? On a count of three you will slowly open your eyes, but you will not remember that I turned you first into a pretty caterpillar, then into a gorgeous butterfly, then back into a beautiful woman. smile
I have always found the transformation of caterpillar to butterfly one of nature's most fascinating ways of doing things.

Fine picture Viktor
vz-nostalgia: Metamorphosis is one of teh most fascinating things I know, Bill. Did you know that it takes 4 hours for a newly born butterfly to dry her wings? What do you think she does after that? Fly off to search for food/nectar? Nope. First thing she does after being born is she flies off to search for a mating partner! Such nymphomaniacs are those butterflies. smile

Wow! smile Impressed, I love the leave and the symmetry of it..she needn't to change!
vz-nostalgia: Impressed? But there is not much going on here either, Ms. Eva. smile Same as in many of my pictures. smile
Symmetry? Where did you find symmetry here? Let me know, when you do. smile
Excellent picture.
vz-nostalgia: Can't agree with you more, Brian. smile

stunning... absolutely stunning. Do you consider yourself lucky or skillful? How many of us would have noticed this scene waiting to be captured, and also have the skill to do it justice? Bravo.
vz-nostalgia: :
Suzanne: Do you consider yourself lucky or skillful?
VZ: I'd say neither, Ms. Suzanne. smile I can't rely on pure luck. Though, from time to time I do get lucky. smile Skillful? Well, my photographic skills are nearly not as good as I would like them to be. smile

Suzanne: How many of us would have noticed this scene waiting to be captured...
VZ: I didn't wait it to happen, Ms. Suzanne. I created teh scene. smile Took me a while to train teh caterpillar to sit still for a few moments. smile But I did create the image in my mind first, and then put a lot of effort and my limited skills to make it happen. smile
Can only repeat what others have already said - amazing colours & symmetry here!
vz-nostalgia: Ah... Never repeat others, Fred. smile Each mind is unique, so give yours a chance. smile

I see both plant and bug are about to turn a new leaf! Excellent Viktor.
vz-nostalgia: A new life is about to unfold right in front of our eyes, Mike. A small miracle that happens every day, just got to know where to look. smile
She is glowing from within...
vz-nostalgia: You bet. She has a good reason to glow, Larry: she has the inner light. Not many of us do. smile
Precious photo and scene, Nostalgia. Nice scale of greens with lines and yellow. Congratulations. Ramiro.
vz-nostalgia: Your congratulations were accepted, Ramiro. smile

Adored by hundreds now, the curled leaf and the lines match her lovely outfit perfectly, She has posed in just the right place for composition, but then she is a lady!smile gorgeous image smile
vz-nostalgia: I see my little lady got herself a new fan. smile She's teh same lady as in here:

Love the contrasting vertical and horizontal patterning on this.
vz-nostalgia: Is that all you liked on this, Ms. Lakshmi? smile

I've heard rumors you fake your photos ;-) But seriously, at what point in photography does an artistic nudge or judicious color touch-up cross the line from capturing a scene to creating a scene? Never mind, I just answered my own question: it doesn't matter when the result is a work of art.

I don't know how you do it, but keep doing it Viktor!
vz-nostalgia: Ah, Ms. Suzanne. The debates on teh topic you raised are as endless as they are fruitless. Sounds strange, but there are still people out there who think that digital photography is not photography per se, that only analog photography is teh real thing.
Regarding faking stuff, my take on this is you can do whatever you want, if you do art photography. If you are in teh documentary photography business, watch out. I remember there was a scandal with Reuters photographers faking their prints. Let me check, if I can find it... Here it is:

That's pretty bad. smile
It's beautiful, and in color!! Amazing, just perfect!! Lines, colors, texture, it has it all!!!
Congratulations!!
vz-nostalgia: I see you have weakness for color, lines and textures, Ms. Berta. smile
