Viquarium: Like A Dying Bird... or Interrupted Flight 2

...do not slash me with your words

sharper than Damascus swords

like a wounded beast bleed I in the corner in dispair

clasping to the wire of my hope

like a dying bird...

Casting dark spells
Will not
Deter me
Nor deflect my aim!

Begone!
vz-nostalgia: ...and what exactly is your aim, Ray?
Broken freedom;life is fragile, so delicate...
is it not?
vz-nostalgia: Yes, it is, Ms. Isabel. And it's short. Let's make the most out of it.

Here we go with the dead birds again. Creepy dude....creepy.
vz-nostalgia: Have to accept all I am, Tony. One can't have chocolate all the time, got to have a pickle once in a while. Learn to accept death. It's a part of our life. It's natural. Most of the time, anyway.

Unlike this poor bird, the wounded beast could fight its way out of the corner, be full of life but with scars on the inside! smile
vz-nostalgia: You are a wise woman, Ms. Linda. I've heard scars make a man's body more interesting for ladies. Is that true? smile

I aim
You aim
He/She aims

The bird missed.

Apparently, at migration time, more or less now, when they move between north and south, millions of birds die when hitting high buildings in NY at night. Photo opportunity?

It is now Coltrane in the cold rain for me.
vz-nostalgia: Photo opportunity? Perhaps. But more like giving a last chance to transform the expired life of a poor little thing into a piece of art. Now, it will live forever, or at least, as long I will. smile

I don't know about New York, but it's pretty bad here in Atlanta. Once, about a year ago, on my way to work I found a huge beautiful owl, lying at teh curb of the road, next to a glass building. It was so beautiful, I couldn't even bring myself to take a picture. A security guard (a nice fella from Ethiopia) and I buried it in teh nearby park.

Coltrane is good in any weather, Louis. smile I thought you'd use the nice rhyme you found to the full exptent. Something like this:
...it is the beauty of Coltrane
I find in dullness of the cold rain... smile

vz-nostalgia: :
Eva: I think he is drunk and doesn't give a damn!
VZ: This is a cynic in you speaks, Ms. Eva

Eva: i love the picture, and that of the bird whoe died when he stopped flying! ...Or she
VZ: And this is a romantic in you speaks, Ms. Eva.

Do you feel as if you are torn apart by these two sides of you? This is called "life out of balance" by Hopi people, or Koyaanisqatsi in their language.

I was flying low at night
Hit the damn fence for poor sight
Then came this Russian with a camera
Hung me up for his own delight
!@#*&^%$......smile
vz-nostalgia: I believe this is your first attempt ever at writing poetry, YKW (if we can stretch this word far enough to call what you wrote here poetry smile).
Some find that net-working isn't for them.
vz-nostalgia: Perhaps, A Hundred Years Of Solitude would be a better option. smile

Excellent Viktor - tragic but inconsequential to chain link owners. We used to have similar problems with a mirror facing a large plate glass window. The youngsters always learn the hard way.

Blackdog: The youngsters always learn the hard way.
VZ: That's because they don't believe in learning from teh mistakes of others. smile

Who said anything about poetry? That's rap, you DS! smile
Com'on, sing it with me..... smile
vz-nostalgia: Hahaha... If you tell this to a rapper, Ti, I won't guarantee your safety. smile
On the fallen hope
of eternal light,
a broken wing.
"Will you cry for me?"
she whispers,
her tears, a whirling spiral
into impenetrable shadows.
Very strong here. I like the blacks also. Zyrynometry, bravo!... . Salud.
