Nu Aesthetics: You and I

...you and I

                he and you

                               she and I

                                               us and them

what happens, when the "AND" falls into a black crack?

what happens, when the connection breaks?...

I was always told to break the connection with and. Find other words to replace it, so when and falls in the black crack the connection temporarily breaks but there are other ways around it smilejust not as easysmile
vz-nostalgia: I can hardly see any words to replace the "and" with, Ms. Linda. Perhaps, the twisted "&", but it's not even a word, just a mechanical character. One can easily get lost in all these twists and turns and lose whatever is left from teh damaged connection. smile

The crack will definitely work better with "S" as last two letters... smile
vz-nostalgia: If you add five more letters: "S", "M", "A", "R" and "T" in front, you'll get a perfect self-portrait, Mr. Smartass from Buford Highway. smile

I can definitely make a plaque for you with "D", "U", "M" and "B" in front for free! smile
vz-nostalgia: Sure. That's what you are well known for. Unfortunately, that's the only thing you are well known for. smile

Yes, you and I are today on the same page as the Americans would say: 'AND' ist one of our most wonderful, important, essential and often love-ly little words - but sometimes 'BUT' is also necessary -in general I love the 'conjunctions' in our languages! I like to write out the full word 'and'/'und'/'et'/'en'... instead of using & or +, but I don't like the Oxford interpunction to put a comma before 'and' when using an enumeration- for it may 'break the connection'.

(Now I am 'supporter of SC' and I hope that all technical details are correct - I posted a picture today - by way of exception- as a kind of test the next one will be posted on Wednesday).
vz-nostalgia: Well, I didn't mean to look at "AND" from a semantic point of view here, Ms. Philine, but more as a bridge that makes possible to connect people. places, souls, dreams... So, I guess I better stay on my own page. smile

"Damn! My H fell into the dreaded black crack and now I am greeting-challenged..."
vz-nostalgia: In this case you are either a chic now or pretend to be British. smile

I thought I did enhance the connecting- meaning of 'and'- but I agree there is no bridge between some human beans!

Pondering the AND as social connector. The significance of AND lies in the fact that it connects variety, versus the S the extends more of the same like in one ball and more balls. Or when the E makes men out of man.

Even when John and James are both men, they are not two Johns (pardon the pun and rather catch the drift).

The AND then welds variety into a single set. A truth in the social, semantic, horticultural, mathematical, etc ways.

So what happens when the AND falls in some mysterious crack? In short - variety is not possible.

Not to worry, I still have many ANDs left on my PC. I may yet save the world from boredom smile
vz-nostalgia: Louis, you are one of teh smartest and funniest men I know. smile
