It gives me a few ideas for the fall... hurry, fall, I can't take the heat! smile
vz-nostalgia: I'm full of ideas, Larry. smile And the best part is... they are free for grabs. smile
If YOU can't take that heat, can you imagine how it feels for a boy from Siberia to go through teh third months of almost 100F. The nature revolts on us. smile I bet it would be ass-freezing winter. smile

A fine lesson on how the world could get along if they would only allow themselves to be surprised, Viktor, instead of pissed off!
vz-nostalgia: Not all surprises are pleasant, Ms. Ginnie, some are of a "piss off" quality. That's just life. smile

lol when i read the title the first thought that came to my mind was your wife is pregnant and you're having a BABY...at your age! lol

the feather looks so sinister like a sword...
vz-nostalgia: What gave you an idea that I am 100 years old, Ms. Cherrylane? smile

I really enjoyed the optical sensation this image aroused. As I opened it I was probing the rich ambers of the leaves aware but irritated by the Samurai sword like shaft of light. Finally the feather resolved itself out of the gloom to enhance and enchant the image. One of your best Viktor.
vz-nostalgia: A painter in you speaks, Mike. And a bit of a poet. smile

As they sit beside each other in the damp of the water below them looking above into the sky of where they came from, they decided to cheer each other up with a Quote they had each heard.
Mr Feather says
"Every leaf that speaks bliss to me, flutters from the autumn tree" ( Source unknown)
So Mrs Leaf replies
"Friendship is love without his wings" ( Lord Byron)
Hearing these words they sit content, happy with each other company, until fate decides their destiny -)
vz-nostalgia: I’ll take upon myself a burden to correct Lord Byron: “If ordinary friendship is love with no wings, best friendship always has at least a feather.” smile

"Life is full of surprises," said Mr. Feather
"You are one of them," said Mrs. Leaf "and you tickle my toes"

That is to admire in the quagmire.
vz-nostalgia: :
“That is to admire in the quagmire,”
she said, and set herself afire :=)
Dammit this is a fine picture young Viktor. The spine of that feather is light an abandoned light sabre from "Star wars episode 300 Taking the Pith"
vz-nostalgia: :
Bill: Dammit this is a fine picture young Viktor.
VZ: It was hard for him to admit this, but he found the courage, he stepped on his own pride and said it loud, and teh whole world heard him. And it felt great. :=)

A magical encounter. They seem to be so different, yet they are going along pretty well on the current of life.
vz-nostalgia: Yes. They are so different. He’s slender. She shows some forms. Water repels from him. She used to be full of juices. He was always roaming the skies. She was attached to a branch all her life. And look at them now: starting a new journey together, from scratch.

A celebration of non-conformity in the Fecund Pool.

"let's just float here
Until we we rot and disappear"
vz-nostalgia: :
Ray: "let's just float here until we rot and disappear"
VZ: Isn’t it fate of all of us, Ray? smile Unless you follow the path of Doctor Parnassus, of course, and sell your soul to teh devil. Just be careful not to fall in love with a mortal woman.

Nice, and the "conversation" makes the image.
vz-nostalgia: Perhaps, you meant that the "conversation" adds to teh image, Brian. smile
Great photo, makes me think and the dichotomy of the two subjects "feather and leaves" is superb.
vz-nostalgia: In teh spectrum of physical being, true, they are on teh opposite sides of the world, Frances. But in spirit, they are two in one. :=)
The feather is a trespasser. Surprises are intruders into the predictable defoliation that life is.
vz-nostalgia: It takes an inner vision to recognize a gift from heaven in a trespasser, Ms. Dori. Most people don’t pay much attention to what falls onto their lap. :=)
Great composition and capture of light VZ.....it is all in the details.....and such a great narrative to go with it....petersmile
It is nice to have the chance to return some visits after our road tripsmile
vz-nostalgia: Where did you go and what did you see on your road trip, Peter?
