In The Garden Of Nostalgia: Like A String Of A Cello

…like a touch of a bow

on a string of a cello
like a sip of hot wine

on a cold day of winter
like a lost stolen kiss

from a virtual lover...

Gosh that's an extraordinary image- the lighting and contrast are perfection!
vz-nostalgia: smile The thing about technique is the minute you learn it, you must stop thinking about it. The contrast and lighting... These are only the tools to get a spark of emotions from deep inside of you, Ms. E. smile
Well you are a true artist VZ- I think that goes without saying! smile
vz-nostalgia: without saying? You just did. smile

The string of the cello that the spider never learnt to play...
vz-nostalgia: Oh, I bet it did. The thing is, teh spider learnt to play one only song- the Song of Death. smile

... a poke of the bow
against the cellist's nose
left a strand of slime
stretching in silvry line.
vz-nostalgia: sweet jesus, Louis... Have you ever tried your hand at children's poetry? I think pre-schoolers would laugh hard at the image you created here (which has nothing to do with my image, mind you smile), the same way they laugh at a cake smashed onto someone's face, or at a loud fart. smile

What? No gophers?
vz-nostalgia: Well, I saw one on July 16th 2011. He popped up his head exactly at 3:06 pm and went back underground to do what gophers usually do. smile

nice shot mr VZ!! I was captured by the line 'like a sip of hot wine'...and I wonder when you want to have hot wine?? only if it comes from your warm lover's mouth...then it wouldn't be a 'virtual' one anymore smile
vz-nostalgia: :
KA: I wonder when you want to have hot wine??
VZ: Have you ever walked through the field full of snow with the gusts of wind blowing into your face for about a half an hour, Ms. KA? Apparently, not. Otherwise, you'd know what pleasure it is to hold a glass of gl├╝hwein in your frozen hands, to take a good sip and to feel how a ball of fire spreads throughout your shivering body. Pure heaven. smile
Having a sip of wine from your lover's mouth is good, but it's a totally different experience. smile

...pure and simple..pleasure, and the picture perfection smile
vz-nostalgia: That's teh goal, Ms. Eva. To be pure, and to be simple. Not that easy, I must say. smile To be perfect is NOT a goal. smile

VZ: sweet jesus, Louis...
LK: Vik is confessing now. Mind you, to jesus Louis instead of Jesus Christ. Confession will end up a bummer.
VZ: Have you ever tried your hand at children's poetry?
LK: No, and that is the truth, not a confession.
VZ: I think pre-schoolers would laugh hard at the image you created here
LK: They may, if they would know what a cellist is.
VZ: (which has nothing to do with my image, mind you ),
LK: Mmmm, I see what I see and you see what you see; according to the Kierkegaard club.
VZ: the same way they laugh at a cake smashed onto someone's face,
LK: They will laugh at the cake episode, I agree. The average pre-schooler will not know what a cellist is and will hardly then laugh at the thought of someone poking his 'bow' against a cellist's nose, leaving a strand of love evidence.
Afterthought: Box office evidence indicate strong adult support for slapstick movie techniques.
VZ: or at a loud fart.
LK: pre-occupation with farts is the province of the very early adolescent of the male kind. It represents their first dabbling around body functions and orifices.
wink
vz-nostalgia: Hahahaha... Apparently, I totally misread you, Louis. smile Now I see your brilliance. smile

Wonderful photo.
vz-nostalgia: Is it? Why do you find it so appealing to you, Ms. Debb?

Its so simple and uncluttered, B&W and the single spider web strand, which looks like it has water droplets on it.
vz-nostalgia: Simple and uncluttered? Yep, those are always good things that work for me. smile
B&W? There is no virtue in b&w per se. Some photographs are born to be in monochrome, and some are born to be in color, say, like this one:
http://nostalgia.shutterchance.com/image/2010/02/26/vikipedia-poco-a-poco/

A spider web with the droplets? There are plenty of this stuff on shutter or everywhere else. smile
Got to look deeper, Ms. Debb. smile Perhaps, into the emotional side of your mind. smile

Great image, brings to my mind a flying manta ray over a dark sky with a hint of ocean light, really beautiful! Cheers.
