I am fortunate, then, that my branches and twigs still support a hefty presence of ripe and ripening fruits...

[grin]
vz-nostalgia: Apparently, you took good care of your tree, Ray. Dare to share the secret? Lot's of manure? smile

... the wind streaks
through the twirling curlicues
of empty branches,
gently caressing
the withered sheath.
With every touch
and tender brush
it breathes new life
into the wayworn realm...
vz-nostalgia: :
…with every gust of wind
the branches sang a song
a sad melody of time passed
when they were full of berries…

Le fruit est toujours là c'est à moi de le trouver!
vz-nostalgia: The time eventually will come, when there nothing to be found, despite how hard you try. smile
Well, it should still have its roots and it will flourish again, it just wont be as ripe and juicy second time round.......!! smile
vz-nostalgia: I see you are an incurable optimist, Ms. Linda. smile

Juicy news that Ray's fruit is still hanging heavy. You should charge him advertising fees.

Time to go is also when you have overstayed your welcome. Any rich codger with expectant offspring can testify to this.

Sometimes the branch will break off, still heavy with fruit. Some silly truck driver didn't look where he was going.

That's life - nary a simple straight line to follow.
