Zyryality: Sweet Nectar of Nostalgia

…when you become as fragile

                          as the autumn leaf

I'll let you know where to seek your final refuge

I'll tell the wind to carry me

                          into your island castle

along with droplets of the morning dew

I'll let them fall

                          into your thirsty mouth

                                                              one by one

until I heal your crusty lips

with the sweet nectar of Nostalgia

and you will blossom once again…

The lighting makes the leaf leather-like...
vz-nostalgia: Apparently, the feel of leather somehow is important to you, Larry. smile

[wink...] remember that scene in the Superman movie...Lois dies...the grief-stricken, sartorially challenged, Man-of-Steel gathers her up in his arms...flying anti-clockwise around the Equator at high speed is well-known in Cartoon Lore/Law to be the means of travelling back in Time...Lois lives!

No nostalgia, though...in fact, She can't remember a bloody thing about it...
vz-nostalgia: Geez... I got to disappoint you, Ray. I've never been a fan of Superman, smileor even expressed the slightest interest to any book of comics. smile My fault, I guess, but somehow I don't feel that I missed something important. smile

Two leaves,
top and bottom
met in annual embrace
Two leaves
black and white
caressed all the night
Two leaves
traces of embraces
sweet nectar of Nostalgia
vz-nostalgia: I like your take on this, Louis.
One night encounter.
A total bliss.
Then, morning breeze.
She's gone. Until next year.

... in the last remaining moments
your fragileness will vanish
as I will sing a song
of sweet tranquillity

wistful remembrances
will be there by your side
when finally the night falls in
extinguishing the light...
vz-nostalgia: Oh, I see this photograph put you in a poetic mood, Ms. Iris. I love, when it happens. smile
I'd like to hear the song of sweet tranquility. smile
A great range of tones, I like the textures and water droplets.
vz-nostalgia: Yep, the tones, the textures and the droplets. There is something else here that one can't see, but feel, Nigel. Not everyone is capable of feeling that, I know. smile

tales from your garden, not dissimilar to tales from mine today...misty and dew-dropped. as i type, watching a steady procession of gentle rain down the window. reminds me of the words from one of my favourite movies - blade runner (i am a geek that way, i can remember stacks of lines from movies i love - photographic memory)... starts with "i've seen things you people would not believe" and ends with "all these things will be lost....like tears in rain...time to die" and he releases a bird which flies up in slow motion. why on earth has your picture reminded me of that!! smile
vz-nostalgia: :
Eliza: ...why on earth has your picture reminded me of that!!
VZ: Because Nostalgia is not only about ranges of tones, extreme details, textures and colors, or arrangement of lines, Ms. Eliza. smile That's why. smile
Just beautiful. Tout simplement beau. A+ VAL smile
vz-nostalgia: My pleasure, Ms. Valerie. smile

I used to see pictures like this and imagine you carring your camera out in the rain - so I felt bad for Viktor, getting all wet. I just realized, you probably go out on nice days and just carry a water bottle with you...DUH!
vz-nostalgia: You know well, Tony, living in Orlando for so long yourself, that no one leaves the house in Atlanta during the scorching summer heat without a bottle of water. smile
Sometimes I just want to keep the feelings I get from a photo an text without trying to analyze why it moves me....I will not give you more, but thanks smile
vz-nostalgia: What you said here, Aksel, is plenty. smile

'only your sweet nectar
will push me to blossom again
with your tender droplets of love,
filling me and healing my empty soul'

it's a 'zyrial-garden' the one of yours, isn't it?
vz-nostalgia: :
KA: it's a 'zyrial-garden' the one of yours, isn't it?
VZ: It's a Garden of Nostalgia, Ms. KA. smile
I'm popping in again to get my 'fix' from your images. I love your work...I find it so insanely inspirational Viktor.
vz-nostalgia: It's a pleasure to have you back on Nostalgia, Ms. Julie. smile Pop up to say hello any time. smile
That would be the best picture of a single leaf I have seen so far! Beautiful work, VZ!
vz-nostalgia: smile Even better than this?

I'm sure you can find plenty of the autumn leaves in your Vietnamese garden, Thomas. Oh, wait... Do you even have autumn in Vietnam?

traces of embraces...
tears of experience
tears of loss
memories of loves lost
grateful once again
to find that resting place
vz-nostalgia: So glad Nostalgia inspired you to write this little poem, Sergio. It's lovely. Got to do it more often, man. smile
