Molto ritard in the full promise of an eternal quiescence.

i know it's forbidden to say it here but 'the picture is superb'

smile floating in the silence
of empty promises they were;
'i'm still here', he said
'you left a long time ago', she responded..(k.a.)

good to know your spanish is good smile despite the 'russian accent' lol
vz-nostalgia: smile
KA: i know it's forbidden to say it here...
VZ: Because you admitted your wrongdoing, you are allowed to choose your own punishment, Ms. KA. smile

"you left long time ago", she said
"and so I did", he said,
"little by little, drop by drop,
step by step, poco a poco".

KA: good to know your spanish is good...
VZ: hahaha... and I thought I was speaking Italian. smile

Yup it is italian - and in vikipedian it comments on the speed and direction of degradation.

Now why did you stick the leaf in there - maybe a foreboding of a good picture?

Un fine settimana allegro a lei

Louis: ...in vikipedian it comments on the speed and direction of degradation.
VZ: smile I see you are fluent in vikipedian too, Louis. smile
Louis: Now why did you stick the leaf in there...
VZ: I didn't stick it anywhere, Louis. It was freely flowing, minding its own business, when I appeared. smile

It may be dead Vik - but just look how it glows!
vz-nostalgia: That's the thing with autumn leaves, Chris. They are at their prime only when they die. smile
lovely processing
vz-nostalgia: Lovely processing? Oh, you mean how teh leaf processes through the murky water. smile All I need to do is to add "When the Saints Go Marching In" tune to it. smile

Nice one Viktor
vz-nostalgia: There was another one, floating nearby. It was nice too. smile
A lovely pair of lips disguised as a leaf? A kiss to us all?
vz-nostalgia: smile Because no one else noticed the lips, the kiss is only for you, Ms. Mary MacANDski. smile

well.surprise mr VZ....you were speaking italian and spanish...wow!!!

smilenow you can start writing spanish or italian poems also....
vz-nostalgia: smile Spanish or Italian poems are written by Spanish or Italians. All I could do is to write teh poems IN Italian or Spanish. But then, I won't manage even this, Ms. KA. smile
Lovely splash of colour.
vz-nostalgia: Isn't that what life is all about, Ms. Bernie? A little splash of color now and then to spice up our otherwise so dull existence. smile
Love the colour..Very nice VZ.
vz-nostalgia: which one, the water or the leaf, Ron?
The leaf looks like it is grafting itself to the bark to be reborn again and flourish.
vz-nostalgia: That's a positive thought, Ms. Linda. smile
Lovely, virtually abstract image, Viktor - well done!
vz-nostalgia: Abstract? Really? Didn't you recognize the leaf, Tom? smile
ab·stract (b-strkt, bstrkt)
adj.
6. Having an intellectual and affective artistic content that depends solely on intrinsic form rather than on narrative content or pictorial representation.
delicate and visually appealing shot.
vz-nostalgia: Judging by the precision of your description, you must be either a scientist or a teacher, Albert. smile

hmmm i'm thinking lightly toasted caramelised apricot peach and mango pastries...perhaps it's time for breakfast?!

lovely palette that leaf smile
vz-nostalgia: Hahaha. I think early morning is not the best time for you to visit Nostalgia, Ms. Zhen. Next time, try late at night. smile
Poético y muy hermoso, VZ.
vz-nostalgia: Only poets are able to see poetry in this image, Armando. smile

Looks especially wonderful when viewed from the extreme side-on position on an LCD monitor, VZ.
vz-nostalgia: I have no idea what you're talking about, Ray. What in teh world is an extreme side-on position? Have you been reading Kama Sutra last night again? smile
fabulous
vz-nostalgia: not your style, I know. smile

The leaf looks like a colourful fish swimming through the mossy green water, and nobody knows where to - it seems to be on the way to new shores of life - no feeling of "empty promises" and "eternal silence"- I suppose the glowing colours signalize for me virulent life and the water signalizes eternal movement and power! At first I didn't think of water, rather of the bark of an old tree trunk! Sorry, I didn't understand your title and your introducing words - they sound too sublime for me.
vz-nostalgia: :
Philine: ...it seems to be on the way to new shores of life...
VZ: There is no life for a dead leaf, Philine. It was a one-way ticket. It got lucky I was around. smile
Philine: ...I didn't understand your title and your introducing words...
VZ: smile It's okay, Philine. Reading titles is optional on Nostalgia. smile
Poco a poco ... hila la vieja el copo. It's a spanish saying. A clue ... In english it's related to birds and nests smile Superb shot Viktor.
vz-nostalgia: smile I thought you'd say "birds and bees", Francesc. smile

I thought you meant "un poco loco" after trying to glue that damn leaf in place for a dozen times... smile
vz-nostalgia: Hahaha. If I were doing this, I'd find better words to say to that damn leaf, Ti. smile
Hahaha. Sure! It was a terrible mistake Viktor smile
vz-nostalgia: smile I'm glad you realized this, Fancesc. smile
A very beautiful picture, perfect colors. Gradually metamorphose.
vz-nostalgia: smile Yes, Valentin. A gradual metamorphosis of beauty into a compost. :=)
Preciosa.
Al principio no tanto, "poco a poco" va siendo preciosa.
vz-nostalgia: So, you didn't like it that much, when you saw it the first time, but then "little by little" the photograph grew into you. Did I understand you correctly, Ms. Monica? smile
