I remember a Monday morning, many decades ago now, when I woke up after a VERY hard weekend with a tongue that felt EXACTLY like this...it may have looked like this too. Thanks for this trip down memory lane, Viktor. smile
vz-nostalgia: I hope you managed to spit teh nut that Monday morning, Alan. smile

A beautiful photograph. However, it's Mardi Gras in New Orleans, and I cannot look at this picture in the same spirit in which you intended people should view it. This is no reflection on you or your work. It's all about me. But, dude - really! - that is the about the filthiest picture I've seen this weekend ;-)
vz-nostalgia: Hahahaha. I've never seen a comment that starts with "a beautiful photograph" and ends with "the filthiest picture" in my life, Glenn. smile

"They fit perfectly", said she.
"They are so different", said he.
In Harmonic Consonance
cheek to cheek
they dance
on the moss
of nutty dreams.
vz-nostalgia: They are so differently perfect
(or is it perfectly different they are?)
"Dance me to the end of love", said she.
"I'll dance you to the end of time", said he.

Ah...Anthropomorphic moss-nutty dreams involving seed pods and ancient plant forms...

"The relationship is doomed...it cannot be more than Platonic" mumbled the lichen to its Muse. "But, I have an itch needs scratching..."
vz-nostalgia: smile To "itch" his own, Ray. smile

vz-nostalgia: :
...she dipped herself in a forever time
without even looking back
unfolding in her dervish dance
falling into the nostalgic trance...
incredible! the smooth, roundness of the nut, and the rough textured moss. this is quite a contrast. i love it!
vz-nostalgia: I see that you agree with her. They are so different, she said. smile

When you're not looking that moss will flip the sphere up into the air Vik
vz-nostalgia: She does it all the time, when no one's looking, Chris. smile
great contrast

"Zyrynometry"- a wonderful new word in order to describe "harmonic dissonance" - yes, that is possible indeed as I myself may confirm! The moss looks like furs caressing the thing you called "nut" - "Venus in the furs" you might say while looking at the some erotical looking 'thingy'! I admire (oh, sorry, VZ!)your photographical skills to animate such a 'nut' and some moss to almost human beings and an almost personal relationship!
vz-nostalgia: New word, Philine? First Zyrynomentry appeared on Nostalgia in November of 2007. smile

You knocked me off by seeing some erotica in here. smile That means I'm way ahead of Ms. O'Keeffe. smile It's not that difficult to find erotica among the flowers. Try do the same with nuts and moss. smile

Very cool shot! H.
vz-nostalgia: Well, Philine thinks it is erotic and hot. smile
Looks like some kind of slug assaulting... something or other - both beautiful and, yech!
vz-nostalgia: That's how Baudelaire saw things: both beautiful and yech. smile
Lol at Alan's...A good clear image VZ..The nut I can see but the other has got me.. looks like Alans tongue.
vz-nostalgia: smile If that's so, his long tongue will lead him far and beyond, Ron. smile

Your images may not always strike a cord with me, but man o man l love the debates they generate
vz-nostalgia: smile I see the difference between our aesthetics, zed. I'm not much of a rock climber/ scate board roller kind of guy. smile
The debates are interesting, because no praises are allowed on Nostalgia. smile Praise kills. smile

vz-nostalgia: It does? I'd like to hear about them, Ms. Ewa. smile

vz-nostalgia: It is all in your imagination, Larry. My job is to start the ball rolling, the rest is up to you. smile

A real zyrynometric blog for the day, complete with a rhyme of dance and romance.

The attack of the hairy slug on your nut. Could become zyrynoplegic if it is left untreated.
vz-nostalgia: smile Zyrynometry (like any other system of precision) doesn't really mix well with rhymes and dances, Louis, but sometimes things go amok, and it does. smile Maybe I should call it Analytical Zyrynometry. smile
