Tales From My Garden: A Pine Explosion

...a pine explosion blasted out

she said for him she no longer

"Get your damn foot off my tail" growled the Porcupine.
vz-nostalgia: The dog finally retrieved, but it was too little too late. lol

You truly capture this viewer with a picture like this. My love of pine trees would be too much to explain here, But like all fond memories, one glance at this picture and I can actually smell the row of pine trees that grew behind my house when I was younger. You have made me smile this morning Viktor, Thank You.
vz-nostalgia: The distant memories of our childhood are always felt so special, when they visit us. I'm glad my picture threw you back in time, Tony, when life was so much simpler.

An unusual perspective and a beautiful detail of pine tree needles, an "explosion" indeed with the quality character of a graphic/etching- I very like the touching comment of Tony and I can "smell" the spicy-fresh fragrance of pine trees, too, I especially love and sometimes collect the (almost eternal) pine cones, of opened of closed! (May be that I'm to naive to understand the allusion in your second sentence.)
vz-nostalgia: Pine cones are marvels of nature engineering, Ms. Philine. I photographed them so many times, but none of the pictures satisfy my demanding taste. smile
My second line is based on a play with the word "pine", which also has a second meaning:
pine v. pined, pin·ing, pines. --intr. 1. To feel a lingering, often nostalgic desire. See Synonyms at yearn.

everGreen in black and white
dead or alive ?
vz-nostalgia: I turned an evergreen into an everlasting b&w, didn't I, Chris? Now it doesn't matter dead or alive, it's timeless. smile

It almost looks like a fabric, I tend to look more at the pattern of light than directly at the pine needles.
vz-nostalgia: Yep. I'm glad you noticed that. The light and shadows is exactly what creates this explosive feel. Good thinking, Ms. Kelly.
`Explosion` describes this perfectly. There is such a sense of movement in this. Very clever. (:o)
vz-nostalgia: It's all an interplay of light and shadows that makes the image, Ms. Roz.

I had to look for the double meaning, well found Viktor, love the lightfall, love the B&W.
vz-nostalgia: There are many discoveries ahead of us in our journey through the English language, Ms. Astrid. Having a good teacher always helps. smile

A fine explosion of a picture, combined with a witty verse...
vz-nostalgia: That's how it supposed to work, Larry, as a whole. If I were skillful enough, in addition I'd write a piece of music and inject it here as well. smile

My man... Love the way you've created the illustion of movement in the pine shot. Great.
vz-nostalgia: That's right, Ola. It's nothing more than an illusion. smile
