I was reduced to silence the other day, Viktor, and flew far away through the night on day-dream wings!
vz-nostalgia: Is that so? I'd love to hear the story, Ms. Ginnie. smile

A very poetical pic, the silence can be reallly felt with eyes (and ears)! A ingenious (kongenial in German) transformation of thoughts/desire by a photograph! But I'm not sure if the wings-building will be stabile and resist the inner winds or storms for a longer time, for the longing for other kinds of communication may be so vivid that I'm afraid we could be eye-witnesses of a new Daedalus-Ikaros-story!
(my first impression was : "Spargel" (sounds like 'sparkle'wink/asparagus from your garden!)
vz-nostalgia: "...I'm not sure if the wings-building will be stabile..."
You don't have a shred of confidence in me, Ms. Philine! I'm a professional wing builder. That's what I do for a living. smile Daedalus did a good job creating the wings. It's was Ikarus who screwed everything up. Apparently, he skipped the science classes back in school. He didn't know that wax melts at a low temperature. smile
I found the analogy with asparagos very funny. smile

Can I snuggle up and fall asleep here? Very Elegant shot.
vz-nostalgia: Any time, Ms. Kelly. Close your eyes and fall asleep to the flutter of the wings. smile

That is cool. Not as in popular or groovy, but cool as in a refreshing and soothing antidote to midsummer Atlanta's oppresive heat and humidity.
vz-nostalgia: Didn't you just say I'm a gasp of fresh air in the hell of midsummer Atlanta, Chris? smile
Fine and soft! Very beautiful and delicate!
vz-nostalgia: You described me so well, Jose Angel. smile
I find this image `pure` and `soothing`. Beautiful macro, Viktor. (:o)
vz-nostalgia: That's because it's part of me, Roz. smile

On a breeze of unuttered whispers,
lit by a muted flame,
I am rendered silent.
vz-nostalgia: :
...you will regain your voice
when a breeze of the unuttered whispers
turns into a violent storm
and the muted flames depart to darkness...

vz-nostalgia: "ain't bad" is good enough for me from a tough man like you, tim. smile

I like the strong diagonals contrasting with the gentle tones!
vz-nostalgia: I knew you'd like the strong diagonals: geometry is your favorite subject! smile

Oh, I blindly have confidence in your professional skills as architect! Silent communication -without any words- may testify for a wonderfully high- developed relationship, but conversation, dialogue and acts are so important, too, the basis, in order to create a very good relationsship, therefore I doubt if the wings of silence have such a stabile capacity to carry further than two kilometers, but like birds 'he' and 'she' will decide to land on earth and I can already hear them talking so much..., I think that 'she' can't stop her mouth talking... (oh,oh, such a problem of many women)!
vz-nostalgia: You got me here, Ms. Philine. smile Who knows better about the women's problems than you. I'll keep my mouth shut. smile
I wonder, how did you calculate those two kilometers? Why not three or four? smile
But seriously, you're right, there is time for talk, and there is time for silence.

On wings of silence,
the violent storm within subsides,
muting the flame,
leaving me in darkness,
alone with my unuttered whispers.
vz-nostalgia: :
…in the quiet darkness of the night
unuttered whispers start to melt
into imaginary droplets
that in your restless mind
will turn into a total silence
from which I’ll build a pair of wings…
I love soft photographs and this is absolutely beautiful.
vz-nostalgia: My pleasure, Ms. Ada.
This is a very interesting picture Viktor - almost reduced to white only
vz-nostalgia: Not everything in this world should scream, Chris. Sometimes a whisper is enough. smile
I'm with Martin and I like the high key feel.
vz-nostalgia: I bet, you were at the top of your class in geometry like Martin, Nig. smile
That'sobviously a wonderful tale ! smile
vz-nostalgia: Oh, Ms. Flo. Apparently, for some the tale is more obvious than for others. smile
Good to have you back once again.
During the final moments of my yoga classes when we enter the relaxation stage, And have to clear our minds of all the happenings of our day.and then picture an image that brings peace & lightness to every chasm of our bodies, this is what i will be remebering
vz-nostalgia: Oh, what a compliment, Ms. Lyndah. Living on Bahamas, I'm sure you have quite a choice of images around you that could bring peace and lightness to your body and mind. Maybe one day I'll start taking yoga classes as well. It's about time to clear my mind from all the trash accumulated during the journey through the years. smile

Stunning macro.
vz-nostalgia: woah, woah...easy now, Ms. Aussie. smile What if I post a truly stunning macro tomorrow? You'll run out of superlatives. smile
I like the texture and light in this one. And your text is adding to that feeling...
