The Other Side of Ansley Park: The Garden of Good

Or the Garden of Evil? Or is it the gate to The Garden of Earthly Delight? Oh, I wish I was taken by hand and walked in by the old man himself... I wish I was lost in the Garden of Hieronymus Bosch.

Ansley Park. Atlanta. Wow! So where were you before Atlanta????

Welcome to SC via Atlanta!
vz-nostalgia: Yep, Ansley Park. My office is on Peachtree St. I often take a walk to Ansley Park at lunch, with my camera of course. I like this low scale residential island in the middle of Midtown.
It makes me think of the gate in the Secret Garden. Lovely composition.

Love this gate the over growth and the stone work. You are lucky to have such a lovely place to walk to from your work. What a place to destress.

Fairy tale splendour, a feeling of entering somewhere very special.

Looks very inviting to me, I'd love to open the door and walk on through
vz-nostalgia: Can't do it, man. Can't walk on through. A private property. A law that treasured as the Holy Grail here in America, as it should be. smile

Well shall never know the answer, as no didactic warning is given above the gate and I presume it remains locked...

... so perhaps the garden of temptation?
vz-nostalgia: The Garden of Temptation is about right, Mike. I'm tempted to turn the gate handle every time I pass it by. smile
